After serving as an Investment Representative for Edward Jones for 17 years, Scott became an independent financial consultant and created Peterson Wealth Management. He holds multiple certificates and individual awards for his service to his clients and their needs. In addition to applicable securities registrations and insurance licenses, Scott holds a bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus University in St. Peter, MN, and an MA from Indiana University in Bloomington. After college Scott held a position as a researcher and a college American history teacher. Scott's former position as a college history teacher and a researcher allows him to guide clients through the markets ups and downs with confidence. Scott’s background in American history and his vast knowledge of technical and fundamental analysis, has given him a unique insight into the world of investing, which he shares with his clients. He's an experienced market strategist that uses both disciplines of technical and fundamental analysis to arrive at proper investment/asset allocation selection. His skills as a former researcher in American history gives him an advantage in reading the macro economic environment and selecting the right asset classes for differing economic and historical time periods. He strives to not only guide but also to educate his clients on the biggest concerns facing them today. When Scott isn’t working or researching he enjoys mentoring young hockey players or fishing for walleye. He has also taken up various causes with his local church when they request his help.
